
What are University Chairs?
University Chairs (UCs) act as programming liaisons for PHI.
Managed by Lynnelle Mosqueda, Director of Partnerships, University Chairs bring PHI's mission to their college campuses by communicating individuals in college organizations, nonprofits, sports teams, and more. This role allows busy college students the opportunity to continuously be involved with PHI while balancing their rigorous course load.
Details and Timeline
University Chairs act as direct representatives of PHI to their respective college campuses. This may include., but isn’t limited to, the following:
- Pitching or presenting PHI to school organization board, seniors, and/or General Body.
- Managing organization of item drives or service projects.
- This includes budgeting for materials, overseeing transportation of items/completed projects to Orlando, and taking photos during the organization’s event.
This position lasts from August – May, varying from 2-4 hours/week. Throughout the school year, UCs are expect to:
- Attend PHI’s monthly meetings and providing updates with ideas on how they can carry out PHI programming in their personal commitments.
- Understand PHI’s programs and being responsible for communicating PHI’s mission, programs, and impact to their executive board/seniors.
- Carry out at least 1 PHI programming effort during the school year.

University of Central Florida
Kaialiyah joined PHI to support the younger community in the Philippines with sharing our access to health education. She wanted to connect with other people who worked toward promoting pediatric health information the Philippines while being in the States.
